Ac started this game having only lost one game all season, and it showed in the early stages as ac started to put together some good moves but failed to convert any of them. But just before half time a scramble in the box led to craig putting the ball away to send ac into the break 1-0 up. Ac came out after the break and contuined to put pressure on the saints defence and maybe should of made it 2-0 with two good chances but it stayed 1-0. Saints started putting ac's defence under real pressure and their hard worked payed off, as a ball played through ac's defence led to their striker putting the ball in the corner in of the post pecker had no chance 1-1! And things should of got worse for ac as a chalenge from ryan led to the ref pointing to the spot but the saints player put the ball over the bar to the relief of the ac side! That seemed to wake up ac and they started throwing people forward loooking for a winner. Tom and lee came on for ac with about 20 mins to go. Saints then conceded a free kick and a ball put into the box by danny pockett looped over the saints goal keeper and into a empty net to make it 2-1 with 4 mins to go it was no more than ac deserved! Ac hung on to take all 3 points! Man of the Match goes to danny pockett outstanding today. A special thanks to wayne who although was injured kept me up to date with today's game!
